My name is Betty Sanders. I am a telephone operator (接线员). I work for University Telephone Company. My job at UTC is an interesting one. I work five days a week and my hours are from nine a.m. to five p.m. I do a lot of things. I also help people when they are in trouble.
Today, for example, I had an interesting experience. At eleven o’clock this morning, I got a call from a man. He told me where he lived and asked me to send for an ambulance (救护车）right away.
