In 2010, writer Ding Yan made a decision to leave her hometown in west China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for Dongguan, a manufacturing(制造业) capital in south China’s Guangdong Province. Some English words have more than one meaning. These are called multi-meaning words.
