What is your favorite color? According to surveys, as few as 8% of people would choose red as their favorite color. The usual winner is blue.

In fact, red isn't really like the color most people think. It has many other meanings. It stands for danger, excitement. It means STOP! Red is the color of blood, which we don't see until something bad happens. It's even been shown with mistakes( red inks in school).

Red also can be seen in English language-often in an unhappy time. We "see red" when we are angry and "turn red" when we're shy. If a person or a company is "in the red", they've spent more money than they have.

However, let's see the good side of the color red! Do you think sports teams that wear the color red are more likely to win games? Also, we know that people may choose red when they buy a sports car.

Everything has two sides. Lets' all have a little more red in our lives and the world will be a better place.
