题目内容

Good writing starts with good ideas. If you write about things that you care about, you will write better. If you write about things that you don’t care about, you’ll be bored and your paper will not have many good ideas.
Once you have a good idea, the next step is organization (组织). Think through your paper before you start. Write an outline. You need to know what your main points are before you start your first paragraph. Use 2-4 main points, one paragraph each.
In your central paragraphs, be concise and specific(简洁具体). Give examples with details, not just general ideas. If you can say the same thing with fewer words, do it! Don’t use big words.
When you finish writing, look at your outline again. Did you really follow it or did it change as you wrote? Many times you find different ideas as you write. Look at your central paragraphs. What are their main ideas now? Are theses ideas in the introduction? I often write the introduction again to fit the paper after I finish writing.

A woman repeated a bit of gossip(流言) about a neighbor. Within a few days, the whole village knew the story. The person she talked about was deeply hurt and angry.
Later, the woman spreading the rumor(谣言) learned that it was completely untrue. She was very sorry and went to a wise man to find out what she could do to repair the harm.
"Go to the marketplace," he said, "buy a chicken, and have it killed. Then on your way home, pick its feathers and drop them one by one along the road." Although surprised by this advice, the woman did what she was told.
The next day the wise man said, "Now, go and collect all those feathers you dropped yesterday and bring them back to me."
The woman followed the same road, but she was so discouraged when she found the wind had blown the feathers all away. After searching for hours, she returned with only three in her hand.
"You see," said the wise man, "it's easy to drop them, but it is impossible to get them all back. So it is the same with gossip. It doesn't take much to spread a rumor, but once you do, you can never completely undo( 弥补) the wrong."

Tea bag drinking is most Westerners' favorite way of drinking tea. Do you know how it came about?
The tea bag was invented in 1908 by Thomas Sullivan, an American tea seller. He was sending out free tea in silk bags for people to try. People put the bags together with the tea leaves into the cup and added(增加) hot water. The tea tasted good, and people thought it was easy to clean the cup. They were not happy when Sullivan started sending them loose (散的) tea again.
Sullivan realized that he had a hot new thing in his hands, and he built a machine to pack the bags. As tea bags became popular, they were changed from silk to gauze (薄纱) and later paper. In 1952, Lipton Tea made the tea bag even more popular with its invention of the four-sided tea bag. Tea bags were soon a hit in the UK, and today 85%of the tea in the UK is packed in paper bags.
However, many people still prefer loose-leaf tea.  This is because some tea companies put not very good tea in their tea bags. But for most drinkers, tea bags are still the easy and tasly way to go.
