Whether we are going to school or going to work, we are all sad to leave the weekend behind and go back to our Monday morning blues. But with the tips, you can get over those blues and face Monday mornings with a smile.

Love what you do. If you love what you do, then you won't fear Monday mornings as much. Loving your job will make you look forward to the week ahead. Try to find something positive (积极的) in your workplace. It could be a friend, a partner, or the work you do in general. The important thing is to keep a positive attitude (态度) at work.

Do what gives you feelings of comfort, while remembering your responsibilities for the day. This will help you cheer yourself up for the day ahead. If the clock rings and you still feel sleepy, stay in for five minutes. However, don't stay past five minutes, as it will only make you feel even lazier for your day. When you get up, make a cup of coffee and put on some music. This will help you feel energetic.

Try to give yourself a little something extra. A good reward for Monday would be a treat you wouldn't have the rest of the week. On Fridays, plan a night out for films or dinner. This will give you a little break from the rest of the week. This way, you will know that even if you're working hard, you will have something good waiting for you at the end of the week.

On Sunday night, go to bed early. Your mind will react (反应) quickly on Monday morning. If you wake up early, you will have more time to get ready for the day. Being stressed during Monday mornings is only going to add to your blues.

Get yourself organized on Friday evening. Before you leave your workplace on Friday, you should take care of all the things you need , so you won't be so stressed on Monday morning. This way, you can start the week right.

One day I got in a taxi, and we left for the airport. We were driving in the right lane(车道)when, suddenly, a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver stopped his car at once. The tire(轮胎) made a very loud noise, and at the very last moment our car stopped just one inch from the back of the other car.

I was frightened. But then I couldn’t believe what happened next. The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused a big accident, turned his head and startedyellingat us. This is when my taxi driver taught my what I now call, “The Law of the Rubbush Truck(垃圾车法则).” He explained that many people are like rubbish trucks. They run around full of rubbish, full of anger and full of bad feelings. As their rubbish piles up, they look for a place to throw it away and sometimes they’ll throw it at you. Don’t take it personally. Just smile, wish them well, and move on. Don’t take their rubbish and spread it to other people at work, at home or on the streets.

Successful people never let rubbish trucks change their moods. Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love those who love you and pray(祈祷)for those who don’t.

Yes Man Changed My Life

Yes Man is the best book I’ve ever read. It’s the true story about the life of Danny Wallace. Before Danny Wallace became the ‘Yes Man’, his life was boring and he felt old. So he decided to make things more exciting. He started saying “Yes” to every question people asked him. And he did it for a whole year. From the day he started, it completely changed his life.

It’s an interesting story. When I finished the book, I also wanted to change my life. So I had a holiday and became a ‘Yes Man’ for a week. This is what happened.

I started on Saturday morning. At 10 in the morning, I got my first question. I saw a poster in the window of a travel agent (旅行社). I needed a holiday so I went in. A lady asked me where I wanted to go. But before I could answer, she said, “A beach holiday, sir?” In fact, I don’t like beaches, I like cities. But I said, “Yes.” Five minutes later, everything was ready. My flight was the next day.

I arrived at my hotel at lunchtime. It was very, very hot. I just wanted to have a rest, but the guide said, “we have a bus to the beach in ten minutes. Do you want to go?” I said, “Yes.”

It was about 40℃ at the beach. A man asked me “Sunglasses? Do you want sunglasses?” I had a pair of sunglasses in my bag, but I said “Yes.” Five minutes later, another man came,“ Beautiful hat, sir?” I said, “Yes.”

Three hours later, I had two pairs of sunglasses and three hats. It was difficult to carry all my new things back to the bus.

I decided: no trips tomorrow, just rest. When I got back, the guide asked, “Oh, there’s a water skiing course tomorrow. Do you want me to book a place for you?” I can’t swim very well and I don’t like the sea. I wanted to cry.

1.When the writer finished the book Yes Man, he wanted to _______.

3.How did the writer go to the beach from the hotel?

4.The writer had two pairs of sunglasses and three hats because _______.
