  Oxford is a interesting old city in English.It is about 80 kilometres from London.No one knows how old it is! It is very famous for is university and its historical(有历史意义的)buildings.There are more than 900 historical buildings in Oxford.

  Oxford University has got 35 colleges(学院)and about 13,500 students.One of the colleges is Church.Christ Church College is not the oldest, but it is the most beautiful college of all.It is 469 years old and it is very famous for“Great Tom”.

  “Great Tom”is a bell that weighs over 6,000 kilos and rings many times every night at 9∶05 p.m.

  She died at the age of ninety, still trying to serve others through her work as a nurse.In fact, it is because of her that we honor nurses today.
