Schools are told to teach students how to avoid unhealthy content, such as violence(暴力) or vulgar(粗俗的) languages.

MOE’s messages leave us to think about why some of our children choose to sit before the screen day and night instead of going out to breathe the fresh air. Maybe children should develop some healthy habits, like reading, playing sports and playing instruments. Also, it’s better to fill children’s weekends with family activities like doing housework together or visiting somewhere. The Internet can be part of children’s life but not everything.

History of the Holiday

According to an ancient legend, Buddha（佛祖）asked all the animals to meet him on Lunar New Year. Twelve animals came, and Buddha named a year after each one.

The Year of Good Luck

Buddha announced that people born in each animal’s year would have some of that animal’s personality. If you were born in 1970, 1982, 1994 or 2006, you were born in the year of the Dog.
