A famous teacher was speaking to the students at our school. He began his lesson by holding up a ￥100 bill. Then he said to the three hundred students， “Who would like this ￥100 bill？” The students began to put up their hands at once.

The story tell us about the British writer, Richard Savage. He was once living in London with 1 money in his pockets. In order to get some food and clothes, he wrote the story of his life and managed to have it published. But not many copies of his books were 2 in the shops, and he was still living a hard life.
