We had a wonderful Christmas. On Christmas Eve, we put up a Christmas tree in the sitting room and hung stockings at the head of our beds before we went to bed. We found many presents in the stockings the next morning. On Christmas Day the whole family got together and we had a big dinner. Everyone was very happy. As China is a big country, people in different places celebrate it in different ways. A week before the holiday, we do a lot of shopping for presents, nice clothes and delicious food. On the Eve of the Spring Festival, all family members get together at the parents' place for a big dinner and the dumpling is the traditional food. We usually watch the wonderfur TV programmes till midnight. Children wear new clothes and get the money in a small red bag from their grandparents. We send short messages to wish each other good luck in the new year by mobile phone.
