23、The other day, I ate out alone in a restaurant after school. When the waitress brought me the bill, however. I found I had left my wallet (purse) at home! What an embarrassing situation! I had no idea what to do when a lady came up to ask what was the matter. She kindly offered to pay the bill for me. I thanked her for helping me out and insisted that she give me her phone number and address so that I can contact her and pay back the money later, but she left with only a kind and understanding smile.

From then on, I promised to myself that I should express my sincere gratitude and admiration to whoever helps me. What’s more important, I think we should express our thankfulness in the form of helping others when they need help, for who does not thank for little will not thank for much.
