　　Once there used to be an old woman．Around her house, she planted a lot of flowers．She had also planted a lot in other places．People all called her“The Lady Planting Flowers”, because she brought beauty to many people．They all loved her．When she was too old to go around any more, she made a special room for the children in the village to play in．Every afternoon she told them stories．The following was one of her stories．

　　When I was a child, my grandpa always told me stories in the evening．Before I went to bed, he often said,“If you did something good for others, the world would become better．”I remembered his words．I traveled many places when I grew up．What could I do for others? One day, I found some beautiful seeds, and then I sowed(播种)them wherever I went．The next year, when spring came, the beautiful flowers were everywhere．People were very happy to see them．

　　Before the children left her house, she said,“Remember, if you do one good thing, the world will become much better．”
