5．After a good cry，I always feel cleaned，like my heart and mind just rubbed each other's backs in a warm bath．Tears are just one of many miracles which work so well that we take them for granted every day．Here are seven ways tears and the phenomenon we call"crying"heal us physiologically，psychologically and spiritually．Tears Help Us See：The most basic function of tears is that they enable us to see．Tears not only lubricate（使润滑） our eyeballs and eyelids，they also prevent dehydration（脱水） of our various cells．No lubrication，no eyesight．Without tears，life would be completely different and eyesight would be blocked out altogether．

Tears Remove Poisons：Emotional tears contained more poisonous byproducts than tears of anger．Are tears poisonous then？No!They actually remove poisons from our body that build up stress．They're like a natural treatment，but they cost a lot less!
Crying Can Raise Mood：The act of crying can actually lower a person's manganese（锰） level．Emotional tears contain 24% higher protein concentration than angry tears．
Crying Lowers Stress：Tears really are like sweat，in that exercising and crying both relieve stress．Stopping tears increase stress levels，and contribute to diseases worsen by stress，such as high blood pressure and heart problems．
Tears Build Community：Crying not only contributes to good health，but it also builds community．Tears help communication and promote community．
Tears Release Feelings：Crying is medicine．It lets the devils out with the nervous and cardiovascular（心脏血管的） systems．All these feelings need to be felt．We need to stomp（跺脚） and storm； to sob and cry； to sweat and tremble．
