Nowadays electronic dictionaries are very popular with students. Is it really a useful tool for learning English?
Compared with a traditional dictionary,electronic dictionary has many advantages. First,it's light and portable. Second,it's faster to look up a word in it. Finally,it may have many helpful functions. You can have a dictionary in your back pocket at all times. Whether you are in medical school and it is a medical dictionary,or if you are in a foreign country and it is a language dictionary,you can use an electronic dictionary to your benefit.
However,an electronic dictionary also has some disadvantages. To begin with,some explanations in it are not complete or correct. Besides,using it too much while reading will cause students to form a bad reading habit.
In my opinion,as long as we can make proper use of it,an electronic dictionary will be of great help to us.
