有there be结构中,谓语动词be后作主语的名词many different signs一致,要用are.
4.or改为and 考查连词.enter the cinema at the ENTRANCE与leave through the EXIT之间是并列关系,要用and连接.or表示选择关系.
5.much改为many 考查形容词.many修饰可数名词复数cinemas,而much修饰不可数名词.
7.allowed后加to 考查动词不定式.allow sb.to do sth.意为"允许某人做某事",其被动结构则为sb.be allowed to do sth.
9.without改为with 考查介词.

7.Time spent in a bookshop can be most enjoyable, whether you are a booklover or merely go there to buy a book as a present. You may even have entered the shop just to find shelter from a sudden shower.
Whatever the reason, you can soon become totally unaware of your surroundings. The desire to pick up a book with an attractive dust-jacketis irresistible, although this method of selection ought not to be followed,as you might end up with a rather dull book. You soon become absorbed in some book or other, and usually it is only much later that you realize you have spent far too much time there and must dash off to keep some forgotten appointment-without buying a book,of course.
This opportunity to escape the realities of everyday life is,I think, the main attraction of a bookshop. There are not many places where it is possible to do this.A music shop is very much like a bookshop. You can wander round such places to your heart's content. If it is a good shop,no assistant will approach you with the unavoidable greeting:"Can I help you, sir?"You needn't buy anything you don't want.In a bookshop an assistant should remain in the background until you have finis hed browsing. Then, and only then, are his services necessary.Of course, you may want to find out where a particular sec tion is,but when he has led you there, the assistant should retire considerately and look as if he is not interested in se lling a single book.
You have to be careful not to be attracted by the variety of books in a bookshop. It is very easy to enter the shop looking for a book on,say ancient coins and to come out carrying a copy of the latest bestselling novel and perhaps a book about brass-rubbing--something which had only slightly interested you up till then. This volume on the subject, however, happened to be so well illustrated and the part of the text you read proved so interesting that you just had to buy it.This sort of thing can be very dangerous.Apart from running up a huge account, you can waste a great deal of time wandering from section to section.

8.If two scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratory are correct,people will still be driving gasoline powered cars 50years from now,giving out heat-trapping carbon dioxide(二氧化碳)into the atmosphere-and yet that carbon dioxide will not contribute to global warming.
In a proposal by two scientists,vehicle emissions (排放) would no longer contribute to global warming.The scientists,F.Jeffrey Martin and William L.Kubic Jr.,are proposing a concept,which they have named Green Freedom,for removing carbon dioxide from the air and turning it back into gasoline.
The idea is simple.Air would be blown over a liquid solution of potassium carbonate,which would absorb the carbon dioxide.The carbon dioxide would then be put to chemical reactions that would turn it into fuel(燃料):gasoline or jet fuel.
This process could change carbon dioxide from an unwanted,climate-changing pollutant into a vast resource for renewable fuels.The cycle-equal amounts of carbon dioxide produced and removed-would mean that cars,trucks and airplanes using the synthetic (合成的) fuels would no longer be contributing to global warming.
Although they have not yet built a synthetic fuel factory,or even a small model, the scientists say it is all based on existing technology."Everything in the concept has been built,is operating or has a close cousin that is operating."Dr.Martin said.
The Los Alamos proposal does not go against any laws of physics,and other scientists who have independently suggested similar ideas.r.Martin said he and Dr.Kubic had worked out their concept in more detail than former proposals.
There is,however,a major fact that explains why no one has built a carbon-dioxide-to-gasoline factory:it requires a great deal of energy.
According to their analysis,their concept,which would cost about 5billiontobuild,couldproducegasolineatanoperatingcostof1.40a gallon and would turn economically practical when the price at the pump hits $4.60a gallon.
Other scientists said the Los Alamos proposal perhaps looked promising but could not evaluate it fully because the details has not been published."It's definitely worth pursuing,"said Martin I.Hoffert,a professor of physics at New York University."It's not that new an idea.It has a couple of pieces to it that are interesting."
58.What is the concept of Green Freedom?C
A.Removing the emission of carbon dioxide.
B.Reducing the carbon dioxide produced by car driving.
C.Recycling the carbon dioxide into gasoline.

B.It decreases the cost of producing gasoline.
C.It reduces the pollution caused by car driving.
D.It promotes a new idea of environmental protection.
60.The underlined part"has a close cousin that is operating"probably means the technology in the   conceptD.

3.Not a day goes by when we don't use the World Wide Web.Today it has become almost as important to every family as food and water!This year,the World Wide Web has turned 25years old.What many people don't know is that the web was at first created to improve communication between thousands of scientists in Switzerland.
In 1989,Tim Berners-Lee was a 34-year-old British physicist working as a software(软件)engineer at CERN,the European Organization for Nuclear Research in Switzerland.Since CERE was a huge organization with thousands of scientists,communication between them was becoming increasingly difficult.
Berners-Lee wanted to develop a system to solve the problem.His paper suggested an information system,where a page on one computer could have a link to another page on another computer ( connected through the Internet) allowing scientists to read lots of information quickly.However,Berners-Lee's boss said that it sounded exciting but impossible.
Even though there were many difficulties and few supporters,Berners-Lee went on to develop the World Wide Web.He came up with ideas such as Hyper-text Transfer Protocol(超文本传输协议)to allow computers to talk to each other,Hyper-text Markup Language (HTML) to create the pages,a server to serve the pages,and a browser(浏览器)to see them.
In December 1990,the World Wide Web was demonstrated(展示)and in 1991,the WWW project was made public,so that other programmers could develop their own browsers.Berners-Lee believed that it could be used for more than scientific purposes.He wanted the Internet to be easy for anyone to use-a free open software.His wishes soon came true.
Although the World Wide Web has today turned into a completely different thing from what it meant at first,it has become necessary and important to our lives, powering our mobile technologies and the way we get information.

7.The Commonwealth games have meant that the eyes of the world have been focused on our fair city-Melbourne.And it would look pretty good,wouldn't it?And what better way to regain our title as world's most liveable city?I'm told that we recently lost the right to say this to foreign friends proudly when the international list was re-examined and we slipped to the fourth place.
It's hard to see how Melbourne could have lost its crown (桂冠) when you look at what it has to offer.24hours Coles,free transport for drunks on New Year's Eve,a new freeway,it's all here.
The first focus for the international press will obviously be the endless stadiums dotted around the city.But as well as being full every other weekend,these great places often play host to slightly older kids.At Rod Laver,even the olds get a look-in as the Christian evangelical (教会的) road show rolls into town once a year for a night of stadium worship (崇拜).
Another pleasure Melbourne enjoys is that it's very easy to get around.There's a bit of a squeeze during rush hour for sure,but nothing like Bangkok,where the journey home can take longer than growing a beard and parking is barely distinguishable from the drive itself.Driving here is a piece of cake.It must be because the wise people who hand out the taxis seem to actively encourage a career behind the wheel within 24hours of landing in the country as an educational tool for getting to know the city.No slowing down for learning bends,just go,go,go!
As for the social life,with over 40million bars in Melbourne's CBD alone,we have plenty of places for spectators to celebrate national victory,making this town as good as any and it happens 24hours a day,7days a week.
Unfortunately,the athletes themselves don't get to smell the roses to the same degree.But the rest of the world will know that this is the place to be.The most liveable city in the world.By far the easiest place on earth to cheat death,which is essentially what we're talking about.

63.In Paragraph 1and 2the author is wonderingA.
A.how Melbourne has fallen behind

4.When you're an employee of a company,no matter the size,it's common to see co-workers promoted,or transferred to a different department. But there is another way to move around-by creating a new position for yourself.I did this several years ago, though I wasn't actively looking for a different job.
In 2007,I was hired at the Transamerica Life Insurance Company,as a customer service representative in the distributions services department.I processed requests for distributions from our annuity(养老金)policy holders around the country.Someone might have forgotten to sign a form, for example,or might have omitted security information. To solve the problem,I'd mail the person a letter.
The company had been through several combinations,so in our department alone we had a collection of about 140 templates(模板) for letters related to distributions. The longer I worked with the letters, the more I saw how they could be improved. Some had overlapping information and could be combined. Some had incorrect grammar or needed updating.I also noticed that industry terminology(专业术语) wasn't standard across all the versions.
When I told my department supervisor about this in 2008,she agreed that the letters needed revamping. She said I should stop what I'd been doing and start the new work.In a relatively short time,I was able to make numerous improvements and reduce the number of letters to 70.It was an informal job change until a managers'meeting several months later.
At that meeting,a vice president who was unaware of my new work mentioned that the division's entire stock of 1,700 letters should be reviewed. My manager told her that she knew the perfect person for the job-me.The position was still considered temporary when I took on the extra tasks, but I was able to show that the work had value, and I was officially promoted and given a raise in November 2009.
