I have always had a great understanding of the game and played very well but never at that level. I played baseball all summer and it was time for tryouts（选拔赛） in the fall. The team I tried out for was the South Shore Baseball Club or “The Seadogs.” On the field I was very nervous and didn’t play as well as I knew I could. A week later I received a letter saying “Thank you for participating （参加）in our tryout, however we have a limited（有限的） amount of spots on our club and we will not be inviting you to play on the team. Better luck next year.”
