Linda and I made plans to go a movie on Saturday, but then she told me her mother wouldn’t let her go because they would go out together. So I said , “ Well, that’s cool with me. We can enjoy a movie on another day.” And the she said, “Why don’t we go on Friday?” I agreed. However, later my mother said we were going to be busy with housework on Friday after school, so I told Linda that I couldn’t go and we had to change the date. She was unhappy and said, “Ok, then I would rather go with other friends.” I got really angry because she thought I was in the wrong. From then on, we didn’t talk with each other any more until I told my problem to my father. From his words, I knew I shouldn’t have got angry about that small thing. He asked me to take it easy. Here are his ideas: Friends often argue about where to hang out, when to watch a movie, what one of them said, and so on. But dear, it’s really common between friends. Most of the time, it’s just because of little things that don’t really matter. The truth is, friends argue because they care about each other or just because she was having a bad day. Sometimes you just happen to have small fights with your friends, but that doesn’t mean you’re not friends any more, right?

I love to tell the story about how I met my best friend—Tiger. We met at the school fair(集市) . Each year, all the fourthgrade classes hold a school fair. Everyone in fourth grade works at the fair. Some sell ice cream, drinks and snacks. Others take care of the little children who ride the rides.

I got the second job and I've never regretted it,because that's where I met Tiger. My job was to help little children get on the back of a little horse. I kept telling the children to wait their turn and holding ice cream for them while they rode about. One thing was clear to me. I was growing older and should be more responsible (负责) .

Suddenly,a boy came to the horse. He took the little horse's reins (缰绳)! The horse stopped, and the girl on its back started to fall. I was trying to reach the girl when I saw Tiger go by my legs. It held the horse's reins and pulled the horse away from my legs. I caught the girl just before we both hit the ground. The girl sat on top of me. She was laughing at the ice cream on my face. The horse's reins were in Tiger's mouth!

Thanks to Tiger's fast action,I saved the little girl. We were both heroes. And Tiger, the fastest dog I've ever known became my new best friend.

At what age should a child start taking music lessons? This is a question that many parents are confused about. To answer this question, we need to know if and when the child is ready.

First, parents should watch and find out if their children are interested in music. A piano is fascinating to children that like music. When they sit at the piano and start playing, they always enjoy themselves. To those who have no interest in it, however, the piano just makes a noise. So it is never a wise idea to make children do anything that they don’t like.

It is very important to communicate with your children. Explain to them that if they want to take music lesson they should be willing to learn, study and practice. Tell them they may get tired of practicing the same piece again and again. But practice make perfect and it does help them a lot in the long run.

Finally, sometimes the children aren’t confident in themselves, so parents also need to encourage them and support their learning.
